As the director of Taalinstituut De Wester, I help professionals in North Holland meet their language training needs.
Originally from the United States, I understand how learning a new language is the key to success in one's adopted country. For me, learning Dutch was a challenging yet rewarding journey. It's opened up countless new connections and ways of seeing the world that I never would have known if I had only known one language.
After studying in a truly international program at Leiden University, I became a copywriter and content marketer for an Amsterdam-based startup. My goal was to help non-native English speakers communicate more effectively.
Eventually, I decided to follow my passion of working with world languages by becoming an English language coach. Though training professionals in The Netherlands, I gained insight into what businesses need and how I could provide that for them.
Today, I empower people to reach for the opportunities that learning a new language can open up for them.
