A poorly designed Obeya can do more harm than good — creating clutter instead of clarity. Information gets lost, visuals overwhelm instead of inform, and discussions drift without real outcomes. To unlock the power of visual management, you need a space that connects the right people, to the right information, at the right time.

In this practical training, you’ll learn how to build such a space. You’ll explore the principles behind effective visual management, discover how to connect long-term strategy to daily execution, and practise designing Obeya layouts that enable flow and focus. You’ll work with templates, frameworks, and real-life cases to bring your Obeya to life.

By the end of the training, you’ll not only know how to design an Obeya — you’ll understand why it works and how to keep it evolving with your organisation’s needs.

This training is for

You recognise yourself in one or more of the following situations:

• You want to translate your organisation’s strategy into a tangible, visual management system
• You’re responsible for implementing or improving an Obeya, but don’t know where to start
• You want to make information clearer and decision-making faster
• You’re leading a transformation or performance team that needs better alignment tools
• You’ve completed the Obeya Fundamentals course and want to deepen your expertise

This training is ideal for professionals who design, build, or optimise Obeya spaces — including transformation leads, project managers, Agile coaches, Lean experts, and performance managers.

What you will do during this training

• You’ll learn how to design an effective Obeya using proven visual management principles
• You’ll translate strategic goals into clear, actionable visuals
• You’ll practise facilitating performance dialogues using the right metrics and insights
• You’ll explore tools and best practices for both physical and digital Obeyas
• You’ll create your own Obeya prototype and receive expert feedback
• Note: course material and exam are in English. The training is delivered in English (can be provided in Dutch if all participants agree).
