Story strategy

How do you make sure your demanding and busy audience really hears and remembers your story? How do you remove last doubts and ensure that the story is passed on within the organization?This three-day Storydesign and Storytelling training will teach you all the elements of verbal influencing. You will learn to quickly and effectively develop a story strategy for different stakeholders with different interests. You learn to work with various types of story structures. And you'll discover how to drive the psychological process of persuasion. You get to know the Storydesign methodology in detail. In addition, you will learn how to use Storytelling to stir both the head and heart of your audience.
Day 1
- You will learn to distinguish between the different genres in presenting and make clever use of them.
- We will teach you to "zoom out" on your stories and take a strategic look at them.
- Most decisions are made in our subconscious. After we make a decision on a subconscious level, we look for support for it on a conscious level. That's why we teach you how to communicate to the heart as well as the head.
- You will be introduced to insights from ancient times, as well as the latest scientific insights on influence.
- You learn to make PowerPoint slides that comply with the laws of oral communication. This will help you prevent 'cognitive overload' in your audience and direct their attention precisely to the issues that are important to you.
Day 2
- During this second day we will show you what is possible with Storytelling. You will learn to use different types of illustrations: anecdotes, metaphors and analogies.
- We teach you how to effortlessly find creative stories in your own environment.
- You'll practice how to pick the right story for your strategic goal. As a result, you are not only telling good stories, but also achieving your professional goal.
- You'll work with simple narrative structures, but also with elaborate, more psychologically layered stories.
Day 3
- During day 3 we'll combine all what we have learned, looking at how you communicate in front of a group and how you can take things to the next level with a few changes.
- You will learn how to present yourself as warm and competent in order to create maximum support.
- During this third day you will learn how to interact dynamically with your audience.
- We'll introduce you to the tricks of the trade. All our trainers have a background in theater and can show you techniques that will increase your impact enormously.
- The trainer gives you support on a personal level. You'll practice and train hands-on in a small group with peers so that you make demonstrable progress.
